ÁKOS
Ákos Schneider is a design culture researcher and an assistant professor at Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design (MOME).
He earned his PhD from MOME’s Doctoral School in 2022. The same year, he published his book The Limits of Human-Centered Design: Speculative Design and the Posthuman Condition (in Hungarian). In 2023, he co-led the Innovation and Design Horizons research project at the Future Potentials Observatory, where he continued as a research fellow until 2025, focusing on the intersections of digital culture and contemporary design.
As co-chair of the Speculative Perspectives track at the Cumulus Budapest 2024 conference, he facilitated critical discussions on speculative design. At MOME, he heads the Theoretical Studies module and founded the Research Unit of New Materialities (R.U.M.). Between 2015 and 2023, he served as editor-in-chief of Designisso magazine and authored numerous articles on contemporary art and design as a journalist.
