Gerin Trautenberger is a design strategist and educator. He is the managing director of EIT Culture & Creativity Co-Location Center South East & Alps. Between 2013 and 2024, he served as president for Kreativwirtschaft Austria (KAT), a platform promoting networking and development of creative industries.
As director for Vienna Open, a festival for open innovations, he explored the implementation of open design practices and innovation for smart cities. He has taught at several institutions, including the University of Applied Arts Vienna, POP-Akademie Mannheim, and WIFI Graz.
